SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADUATE STUDIES FORWARD IN SWITZERLAND 2011-2012

Requirements:

2 .- Three (3) letters of the workplace or university. One, addressed to the Chief (e) of the Office of Scholarships and Student Loans, another Executive Director of the Peruvian International Cooperation Agency-APCI, and the other, the entity sponsoring the scholarship.
3 .- Application form for Switzerland. This form, PDF format, must be completed on screen, printed and signed by the applicant, see attached (no manuscript form). Must have a photo, do not accept photocopies of photos.
4 .- Copy of all university degrees (photocopies of certificates containing the courses that the applicant has made during his university studies, with the notes thereon, copies of graduate certificates, graduate and professional degree will lend weight to his candidacy.
5 .- Two letters of recommendation (original) of teachers, on letterhead and seal of the university.
6 .- Nominations for the stages of research: Full Research Project of approximately five pages and a presentation of papers or research studies conducted to date that may be of particular interest for the grant of scholarship.
Nominations for a Master: A covering letter of approximately 2 pages stating the reasons for choosing to study in Switzerland, the importance of this choice to study in Switzerland, the importance of this choice for future career and professional projects at the end of the scholarship studies.

8.Candidaturas for research stages: a copy of the confirmation of a university professor who leaves a Swiss who agrees to supervise the investigations (one university).

For Master programs, the candidate should undertake, in parallel with the scholarship application, all necessary steps to enroll in a program. They are two different ways and the candidate should compulsorily brought before a Swiss university in order to apply for a scholarship. The regular registration deadlines must be respected Program. OFID Scholarship Award 2009/10

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

OFID (The OPEC Fund for International Development) is pleased to announce that qualified undergraduate students are welcome to apply for the OFID Scholarship 2009/10. The OFID Scholarship will be awarded to support an undergraduate student from any developing country, to pursue higher education in a relevant field of development, in any recognized university/college in the world. Through its scholarship scheme, OFID aims to help highly motivated, highly driven individuals overcome one of the biggest challenges to their careers – the cost of advanced professional or graduate training. The winner of the OFID Award will receive a scholarship of up to US$100,000 The funds will be spread over a maximum of two years, toward the completion of a Master’s degree, or its equivalent, at an accredited educational institution, starting in the autumn of the academic year 2009/10.

Eligibility
To be eligible the candidate must meet ALL of the following criteria: :

* Must be between the ages of 23-32 at the time of submitting his/her application.
* Must be a graduating student with a Baccalaureate from a four-year, accredited college/university, or its equivalent.
* Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 rating system, or its equivalent.
* Must be matriculated at an accredited university for the upcoming academic year starting September 2009, and must maintain full-time status for the duration of the Masters Degree.
* Must be a national of a developing country (please see list of eligible countries)
* Must select a subject of study that pertains to OFID’s core mission, such as: economics of development (poverty reduction, energy and sustainable development), environment (desertification), or other related science and technology fields.

PLEASE NOTE: Please read ALL of the directions below before proceeding with the application process:


1. Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. Applications will be evaluated based on the information provided. Therefore, all questions should be answered as thoroughly as possible. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Once an application has been submitted, no changes will be allowed on it.
2. OFID will not consider applications received through a third party.
3. Please do not call or email OFID to ask if your application has been received, or to inquire about your status.
4. Please note that only the winner will be notified.
5. All materials submitted become the property of OFID and will not be returned to the applicant.
6. Applicants must complete the on-line application form and essay requirement, and must email the required materials to OFID’s email address provided below. All materials including the on-line application, recommendations, and other required information must be received no later than March 31, 2009.

Disbursement of the Scholarship Fund
The terms and conditions of payment will be determined in coordination with the student upon his/her selection in accordance with the following guidelines:

* The tuition fees, including any supplementary examination fees, as may be required by the academic institution, will be paid by OFID directly to the academic institution. Health insurance will be paid in accordance with the institution’s own standard medical scheme.
* A monthly allowance to cover living expenses, books and accommodation, will be transferred to the student’s own personal bank account on a quarterly basis.
* Prior to the start of his/her first year studies, the student will be paid a relocation grant, equal to two-month allowance. OFID will also pay for travel costs from the nearest airport to the student’s place of residence, to the nearest airport to the chosen place of study. Upon completion of the studies, the student will be paid the cost of one-way air ticket to his/her home country.

* A scanned letter of acceptance from your chosen educational institution, confirming your admission, subject of study and duration of the Master’s degree program (must not exceed a maximum of two years).
* A proof of meeting any prerequisites, including language proficiency.
* A short essay – of about 250 words in English – giving reasons for applying for OFID’s scholarship, explaining your educational goals, and clearly describing how you will use the experience gained from your Masters degree studies to help in the development of your home country.
* Two letters of recommendation from professors and/or lecturers at applicant’s present university.

University of Cologne, Germany Doctoral Scholarships Management, Economics and Social Sciences

The Cologne Graduate School (CGS) will constitute the integrated PhD program of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne.

Each year, a limited number of scholarships will be offered to the very best graduates in management, economics, and the social sciences. These so-called WiSo scholars will be recruited internationally across the three disciplines of the Faculty. The Graduate School will also provide the infrastructure for international doctoral exchange.

The course program will start in October 2009. During the first year, students will take part in courses on multidisciplinary methods and theories and subject-specific courses.

During the second and third year, students mainly conduct research and work on their thesis. Students are encouraged to spend one term abroad.

The CGS is looking for excellent students who are close to finishing their Master’s degree (or German Diploma or equivalent) and who count among the top 10% of graduates in their faculty. The teaching language of the program is English.

Scholarships:
For excellent students with a Master’s degree (or German Diploma or equivalent), the CGS offers a limited number of scholarships (1,200 Euro per month). The maximum duration of a scholarship is three years. Scholarships will start in October 2009. The grant is tax-free and there are no tuition fees to be paid.

Application Procedure:
Application deadline is April 30, 2009. The CGS also encourages international students with a master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Management, Sociology, Psychology, Political Sciences and related fields to apply. Detailed information on the application process for scholarships 2009 will be available on February 15, 2009 on CGS website. Description: This Undergraduate International Scholarship is a partial tuition waiver ranging from 20% to 50% of tuition. It is renewable each year until completion of a undergraduate degree as long as the student is in good academic standing.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
: Eligible applicants are full-time degree-seeking students who have applied directly to Hawaii Pacific University and have been accepted.

The following scholarship requirements must be fulfilled to be considered for an award:

A. A completed HPU Application for Undergraduate Admissions form including:

Certified academic transcripts from your college (all documents that are not in English must be accompanied by certified English translations)

U.S. $50 application fee

Statement of Financial Sponsorship
*
Original or certified copy of a bank statement or letter showing sufficient funds to cover one academic year of study at HPU

Documented proof that you meet HPU's minimum English Requirements.

The ENS Cachan International Scholarship Program 2009-2010

The ENS Cachan establishes a scholarship program for international students may or may have conducted studies and obtained their last degree abroad. Registration until 31 January 2009.

This device is intended to enable the reception of students at master research 2nd year (M2R) and PhD, to follow or pursue their research training in the departments or laboratories of the ENS Cachan. Priority is given to complete studies in the second year of master and for research stays in the framework of the thesis co-supervision.

The amount of the grant is € 1,000 per month. These awards are a minimum of one semester (6 months) and a maximum of 12 months.

SCHOLARSHIPS ITALY - INTERNATIONAL TRADE LAW POST GRADUATE COURSE (NEW)

Deadline for submission of documents: 19 January 2009

This intensive program (delivered in English in the International Training Center of the International Labor Organization) is designed for young graduates in Law, Business and Economic wishing to acquire knowledge in international trade law and building contracts.


It will touch topics such as current trends in international trade law, international law at a regional level, the legal aspects of negotiating international contracts, types of contracts, modes of payment, investment guarantees international arbitration and dispute resolution disputes.

There are scholarships available to foreign students or non-Italians in Turin to cover part of the board and accommodation costs. These scholarships are granted upon written request in the application and the documentation on the basis of the candidates.
