JAPANESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) FOR 20 1 1

The Government of Japan through Monbukagakusho - Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, initiated the call for applicants to graduate and undergraduate scholarships for the year 20 1 1 for international students.


REQUIREMENTS OF THE GRADUATE (Kenkyu)
(1) Country: Venezuela (An applicant who has Japanese nationality at the time of application will not be eligible)

(2) Age: under 35 (born after 2 April 1976)

(3) Academic Background: Applicant must be a college graduate or have academic ability equal or superior to that of a college graduate.

(4) Major field of study: The candidate must apply the appropriate area above the field of study or a related area.

(5) Japanese Language: The candidate must be willing to learn the Japanese language, be interested in Japan and have enthusiasm to deepen their understanding of Japan after his arrival, and be able to undertake studies and research while adapting to life in Japan.

(6) Health: Applicant must be physically and mentally healthy enough to carry out studies at a university.

(7) Arrival in Japan: The candidate must be able to leave for and arrive in Japan between the 1st and April 7, 1920 January 1 or between 1 and October 7, 1920 January 1.

Language Exam: Tuesday June 8, 2010

UNDERGRADUATE REQUIREMENTS (Gakubu)

(1) Country: Venezuela (An applicant who has Japanese nationality at the time of application will not be eligible)

(2) Age: The candidate must be born between April 2, 1989 and April 1, 1994.

(3) Academic Background: Applicant must have completed a regular course of 12 years of school education or have graduated from a school equivalent to senior high in Japan.

(4) Major field of study:

Social Sciences and Humanities

Law, Politics, Pedagogy, Sociology, Literature, History, Japanese Language, Economics, Management and Others

Natural Sciences

Science, Studies of electricity and electronics, mechanics, civil engineering, architecture, chemical, agricultural, hygienic and biology, medicine, dentistry and other fields.

(5) Japanese Language: The candidate must be willing to learn the Japanese language and receive university education in that language.

(6) Health: Applicant must be physically and mentally healthy enough to continue studies at a university in Japan.

(7) Arrival in Japan: If selected, the candidate must be able to leave for and arrive in Japan between the 1st and April 7, 1920 January 1.
