Erasmus / International for the year 2009/2010

The University of Valladolid opened this week the call for Erasmus with over 2,300 scholarships for their students, although the International Relations, is expected to cover about 1,000 places for pupils from the conventions that holds the University of Valladolid with other institutions internationally.
Of the more than 1,000 existing agreements with other universities, both European and outside Europe, some of the races with more seats are required in schools of Philosophy and Letters, 216, Economics 115, Science 78 Law, Architecture with 59 or 41.
In total, 25 are the degrees of which about 1,000 students will benefit from these grants, both in Europe and beyond, and there are also agreements with 35 institutions in countries such as Canada, Japan, Brazil, Taiwan and Australia
Italy is the favorite destination, as for some of the races is very attractive for its artistic heritage, such as art history or architecture, or its similarity to Spanish law, for law students . France and Germany are chosen for their proximity or language in most cases, while Belgium is also chosen by some students because of its likeness in the field of law, and Portugal, is chosen both for its ease in the language and by its proximity to Spain.
Currently about 900 students at the University of Valladolid are enjoying these grants, under which, from the International Relations, is expected to do so for the next academic year 2009/2010, thanks to the call that opens During this week. A growing number of Erasmus students that has been happening over the years.
Erasmus These include the financing of the European Union, the Ministry of Education, Sport and Social Policy (MEPSYD), the Castile and Leon, and several banks.
In addition, the University of Valladolid MEPSYD grants and up to all students, especially those with a less favorable economics in their homes. The additional allocation is around 450 euros per month.
The duration of the Erasmus ranges from three months is only a semester or academic year as a whole.

Leonardo Da Vinci Scholarships 2008-2009 - University Foundation of Las Palmas Requirements
* This scholarship is open to new graduates (up to two years after the end of the race) from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the University of La Laguna, up to 35 years old, with no work experience or up one year of experience.
* Candidates whose registration has been approved will become a second choice. In this second selection will be valued:
1. Election in order of preference of the country where they want to make the practices.
2. Setting the profile of the candidate to the needs of the company * (both from the FULP this as being the candidate).
3. Language and cultural life of the country where you want to the practice.
Only when the number of candidates exceeds the number of places of the country where they want to make the practices, a third selection to be applied in the following selection criteria:
1. Personal interviews in which they assess the candidate's attitude (8 points).
2. Average rating of academic records (2 points). Only this approach will be applied in case of a tie.
Those candidates who do not pass the third selection will remain as reserve candidates. "
* Important Note: The list of companies for this call is limited, it is recommended for the candidates on their own search for a company in one of the 9 countries listed. However, the agreement between the candidate and the company sought by him is pending the approval of the National Intelligence Agency (BEPA).
Equipment: Approximately € 3,000, although this varies, in more or less, depending on the country where they carry out the practice. This amount includes a return ticket, accommodation expenses, maintenance and insurance, as well as linguistic and cultural preparation. The participant must submit original invoices and proof of actual expenses incurred.

The University Foundation of Las Palmas (FULP) has opened the registration period for eligibility Leonardo Da Vinci that will allow recent graduates of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the University of La Laguna (up to two years after the end of the race), carry out transnational corporations or training centers for persons in the labor market.
The University Foundation of Las Palmas has participated since the program's first phase and in all its calls, managed to date more than 720 practical training placements in European companies with students and graduates.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships - 2008 / 2009 - Germany, France, Spain : European Union Master’s Course in Mechatronic and Micro-mechatronic Systems
The European Union supports the masters course EU4M (European Master on Mechatronics and Micro-Mechatronic Systems ) by offering 18 attractive scholarships (2 years with 21000 €/year) for Non- European students and one grant for Western Balkan students. It offers also some grants (1,2 or 3 months) for Non- European scholars (academics).
The deadline of application is 31 January 2008. The Master has been accepted in the framework of the prestigious European programme on education “Erasmus Mundus”.
During the programme, the student will work one year on universities in two different european countries: Karlsruhe (Germany), Besancon (France) and Gijon (Spain). Lectures are given in the local languages French, German and/or Spanish.
Duration of studies is two years. During the programme, the student will work one year on universities in two different european countries: Hochschule Karlsruhe Technik und Wirtschaft, Karlsruhe (Germany), Ecole Nationale Superieure de Mecanique et des Microtechniques de Besancon(France) and Escuela Politécnica Superior de Gijon (Spain), obtaining two master’s diplomas of those two institutions. Lectures are given in the local languages French, German and/or Spanish.
