United Kingdom - University of Strathclyde PhD Studentships in High Dimensional EntAngled Systems

Two PhD places are available for students eager to learn more about quantum phenomena, quantum and nonlinear optics and quantum communications.

We are looking for PhD students to work in theoretical, computational or experimental aspects of this fascinating research field (or even in all three!).

The project forms part of the EU network HIDEAS with collaborating groups in Italy, France, Denmark and The Netherlands and will include visiting and working with these groups.

University of Birmingham PhD Scholarships in Psychology October 2009

University of Birmingham, School of Psychology:
Up to 10 PhD scholarships for October 2009

School of Psychology at the University of Birmingham is the 3rd highest rank in the research department of the United Kingdom. We look for good Up to 10 applicants for University and Research Council funded research fellowships for students wishing to start a research degree in October. The admission process is implemented throughout the academic year, but above all to encourage the requests made by 16/03/09.

These scholarships are available at any of the areas covered by the Faculty of Psychology of three groups of subjects:

(i) The behavior of Neuroscience (neuroimaging, neuropsychology, psychopharmacology, cognitive neurophysiology)

(ii) Development, Social and Applied Psychology (developmental psychology, forensic, clinical, social cognition)

(iii) The language, cognition and perception. (visual perception, reading, expression and gesture of production)

The payment of tuition grants and a share of maintenance currently £ 12.940 a year. Home and international students right to be considered for these scholarships. Tuition fees for non -- Applicants from outside the EU will be paid at the rate of enrollment of origin.
